Born at the turn of the last century, native to Arabic culture and trained in Western music, Shaden spends his time exploring the relationship and balance point between East and West, between the tranquility of the old world & the fast pace of the digital new one.

As a kid born in a multicultural land Shaden became trilingual at a very young age, which has widely affected his artistic approach, as he seeks to recreate this unique multicultural state within the music, a state in which he fuses all those different cultures with one another forging a new body of sounds that resembles his diverse cultural roots, a body of sounds that starts in the east, reaches to the west and settles in the middle.

A Bachelor in Classical Performance 16’ and Master in Contemporary Performance 20’ from Berklee College of Music with over two decades of musical experience and studies, Shaden’s music rests in the center of a diverse collection of styles and is influenced by several traditions. On one hand, classical music has shaped his storytelling and composition approaches, while other contemporary music genres such as Jazz, Psychedelic Rock & HipHop have given him a contemporary pallet of sounds and harmonies, as well as an edge of a modern-day performer.

The relationship with the stage began at a very young age, allowing Shaden to develop over the years a deep knowledge of the performing arts playing many different roles such as: orchestra player, soloist, chamber music player, band member, band leader, choir musician, Palestinian folklore dancer, actor and narrator in music concerts. Classical music was the door through which de Nahra entered the music world, introducing him to the castles, fantasies and fairytales of Europe, as well as teaching him about numbers, harmony and rhythm. Studying classical music for fifteen years before expanding into Jazz resulted in sort of a tree with oriental roots planted in classical soil with contemporary fruits on its branches.

As part of the emerging artistic scene within the Palestinian community in the Middle East, Shaden has collaborated with different artists, producers and bands such as: Rasha Nahas, DAM, Ruba Shamshoum, Moody Kablawi, Tamer Nafar, Sandhill, Zach Matari and The Synaptik. Eager to contribute to his community, alongside his friend Fadi Deeb he co-created and produces Klassilkey; a concert series that combines performance, art & lectures, in order to create a captivating informative musical experience for the audience. In other terms, artistic collaborations that aim to both educate and entertain.

A versatile artist who is a natural performer and storyteller that takes the audience on a journey through classical music imagery, painted in a psychedelic space and delivered with a pinch of theatricality to accompany the story and emphasize the importance of the message.
